360 2 Barrel carb question
« on: April 16, 2009 - 12:02:25 PM »
I have a spare Holley 2 Barrel carb that I am rebuiding - a 360 2 Barrel carb, completely stock-correct for 1974-

IS there a diagram I can reference for assembly and settings?
I pulled it apart to clean and rebuild, and I know this this was reassembled wrong previouisly. I could use a pick of the throttle/progressive linkage to help.
This is the only photo I have right now:

The other question is the WOT valve tappet was stuck down (I think that is what it's called). Since taking it a part and cleaning/polishing it, It now works well. I just need to know the proper installation of the spring.
The rest of it is self-explanatory.

Thanks,

Dan Zimmermann

the factory service manual or the guide that is included with a carb kit would be the best

thanks!
Great tip! I found the rebuild kit I need. Better yet, there is a manual.
I cleaned and polished it as well as I could, so it looks really nice.
Whoever rebuilt this carb the last time did a lousy job. Looks like the butterfly swung and got stuck at one point.
I'm glad I took the time to pull this carb apart. I think someone will
Enjoy it.
Best,
Dan
