Upper Control Arms

It's been a while since I took this apart.  How do I identify the left vs right UCA?  Are the wide arms on each to the front or the back?

There are two short sleeves (spacers?) that are part of the UCAs that came off when the bushings were pressed out.  Where exactly did they go?

the sleeves press onto the front bushings
the arms have a flat spot where they hit the frame bumper stop

Been to the Middle East and back many times...  I'm getting ready to retire from the Air Force and need to get my '70 Cuda back on wheels to haul from Texas to Wisconsin.

I'm assembling the K-frame on a workbench right now, the chassis is elsewhere.  So the bushing spacers go to the front, spacing the bushing from the control arm.  Which part of the control arm is to the front??  The arm with the dimple for the bumper stop?

Yes the two big rubber bushings at the forward mount for the control arms get a metal sleeve inside.
Yes the bumper stop is to the front.

I don't think I was following what you were saying.  I pressed the sleeve onto the bushing and then pressed the bushing into the front arm of the control arm, assuming it was a spacer.  That sure doesn't look right and I don't remember having to pull the sleeves from the bushings during disassembly, the bushings just pressed out.  I can only assume that the sleeve goes on the back of the front bushing after it is pressed into the control arm?  Not sure what it's purpose is on the back, except to maybe provide some extra support.

true , it is not a spacer , the bushing goes in first then the ring is pressed on behind onto the bushing , I have no idea why they are there , some cars had them other don`t , I caan only assume it addsuprt to prevent the arm bending while doing Dukes of Hazzard jumps LOL

I could be wrong about this, but I remember reading some place that the extra ring on some upper control arm bushings was because when the bushings were installed the press fit was not tight enough. The rings were installed on the bushings that did not press in at spec. Thats why they are only found on some of the bushings.
