Glad it works for you. Once you get HD Dish you will notice a huge difference on the HD channels. The channels that aren't HD though will not look as good, so don't expect every channel to look HD.
On your DVD player, it will be a good picture, but in order to see a true HD movie you will have to get a BluRay player. They are getting cheaper, but they are still about $250. You will see a huge difference in DVD and BluRay discs. That is especially true for computer animated movies such as "Cars" or "Ratatouille". They look excellent on BluRay.
The biggest thing to remember though is that only shows and actual movies that were filmed in HD will look HD on your TV. In other words, a show that was filmed in the 80's is not gonna look near as good as a show that was filmed using HD cameras in this century. So don't get aggravated if you are watching "All in the Family" (it's just an example) and it doesn't look HD. They will still look better than a regular CRT tv but HD shows look way better.
