Show & Shine Pics
« on: April 19, 2009 - 10:54:11 PM »
Had a get together at a local Dodge dealership on Saturday.  Some beautiful 09 Challenger R/T's on the lot, but not 6-spds at all.  Had a nice time, but it was a bit cool with the breeze.

That 71 Charger R/T is one nice car.  What's amazing it was totalled in a t-bone accidents three years ago and has been brought back from the dead.  You should see the pics from the accident  :scared:

I used to have one. It was an original V-code car. The car was beyond my capabilities, so I sold it to buy my Challenger. Hated to sell it, but it was rough. Original motor and tranny was gone. I do stay in touch with the guy who bought it. I look forward to seeing it back on the road. Do you have the pictures of the accident, I would like to see them. Nice job was done on the car for what it has been through.

No I don't have any pics, but they basically had to cut the front of the car off at the firewall, get a donor car front clip and weld it back together.  The body shop did a fabulous job fixing it back up.  It was an $18K repair and the donor was given to him.  Most people would not of tried to fix a car that badly damaged.  Thank goodness for Mopar lovers  :clapping:

Thanks for sharing those photos with us!  That's crazy to think that Charger R/T had been in an accident judging by how nice it looks in just the photo...It's awesome they rebuilt it instead of parting it out. :2thumbs:

Check this angle, the blue one's grille looks like it's derived from the 72-74    :smokin:

Thanks for the pics  That white 64 brought back some nice memories..............my first Mopar was a 64 midnightblue Sport Fury I bought in the spring of 65, 383 with buckets and console, dual point ignition etc. and at the time I was dating a fine foxy red head. Life was real good back then.  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

Good to see ya on here some more babyelephant, we enjoyed taking you and your wife around Carlisle a couple years ago. But you guys sure had a rough start here in the states, lost luggage and then you wife getting a touch of pink eye. Sure good to hear from you and tell your wife we said hello.   Sorry, I'll have to confess, I've forgotten your names, but forgetting seems to be easier for me anymore.  :roflsmiley:
