« on: April 20, 2009 - 11:58:51 AM »
Hi,
Does anyone know why there are 2 wires going to the seatbelt reel on driver and passenger sides ? (72 cuda)

Was there some kind of warning to put on the seatbelt maybe ?    ???

There is a "FASTEN SEAT BELT" lamp & buzzer on my '73, located on the right most instrument bezel facing left, that disconnecting those wires disabled.

The seatbelt warning lamp was in the later year E-Bodies.  Maybe the gauges are from a 70-71.   :dunno:

Pic, from my '73, at 2:00 of the steering wheel partially obscured round warning light.

Interesting -- do you have a 7,000 or 8,000 tach in your '72?

Its a 7000  Tach,  I think the wood effect has been replaced and the warning lamp hole is covered!   :grinyes:
