'70 Challenger SE rear finish tail panel & trunk trim.
« on: April 23, 2009 - 03:12:12 PM »
SOLD!!!

1970 Challenger SE rear finish tail panel.  The trunk lid trim is included.

It came off my recently rotisserie restored Challenger.

It's about as close to NOS as you'll get.  Very, very nice condition.

I'm eliminating the SE panel since my car didn't come with it originally and since the new BEA quarter trim pieces have more of a chrome look to them I have to replace the trunk trim as well.

My daughter accidentally bumped into it and it fell about 3' Sunday night.  It's back on the car to be safe.  There's minute marks on each end.  When you rub your finger across it, it's smooth, can't feel any indentations.  I know I'm making more out of it than needed, but I don't want any surprises.

Right above the bumper both sides.

If for some reason the other guy backs out I'll keep you in mind.  I should know tomorrow.  As fast as it may have sold, it must have been a good price.  :dunno:

It was a very good price for how good the pieces look.  I'd have bought it if I'd seen it first.  :wow:

Mike w/ BEA said it was worth $300 when I ordered the new trim pieces.  Here I thought I was making out.  To think I'm paying shipping too.  :faint:

I was at $950 initially until my daughter bumped it.  Just being fair I guess.

Tough to judge when no one replies to your WIW posts.  :dunno:

$300 back in 1995 maybe.

I gave up on WIW posts. Potential buyers tend to undervalue the parts because they don't want to overpay. I'm not criticizing, it's just human nature.

I paid $600 in 2002. I'm sure the going rate is higher now, but don't kick yourself too much over a hundred or two. We all make boo-boos.

MEK-Dangerfield, I don't think I've told you before, but your car is beautiful.  Love that color.
