Little side windows?
« on: April 24, 2009 - 11:22:38 AM »
I was just wondering why on some Challengers the little side windows roll down all the way but some don't? I like the look and would like mine to do that sometime.

I know the rear side windows didn't go down on the Deputy Challengers. Do you have window cranks that don't work?

EDIT: What I MEANT to say is the Western Sport Special had the fixed rear side windows. Possibly the Deputy version too.

Oh...maybe mine are just hitting something! They stick up probably 2-3 inches. I know I have saw picture were they are flush on some challengers.

Maybe its just me but the majority of cars always leave a little bit of the window sticking out. I have never tried to adjust it out but all the E-bodies I have had do not go down all the way. I got to where I just leave them up because they are such a pita to deal with.

I will check mine on both cars and report back.

WSS's did NOT have fixed quarter windows, just A93 cars.

Mine only sticks up 1/4" or so. I'm guessing it's an adjustment problem.

Mine are up just a bit, too when rolled down.

Mine always stuck up quite a bit since aquisition in '75. A couple of years ago discovered that the mechanism was binding, would start bending, with about 3" to go so I lubed em up real well with lithium spray & was able to get down to about 1/2".
