dude - I just went thru this entire thread. Great story and a class A restoration!!

Tell me more about the organasol paint. I just bought a 70 Mach 1 and am restoring it. It was freshly painted (very close to your B5 blue actually) and I will need to put hood and deck lid stripes on it. Also need to redo the tail panel on my 72 Cuda with organasol. So is that a single stage product? No top coat? Texture looks nice and smooth in your pics and is exactly what I am after for both cars. Where can I buy it?

Hey, it's a single stage for sure. Mine is not really too smooth, it feels like soft shark skin in a way, textured. You have to shoot a few different mixes to get the texture you desire. It took me about 4 or 5 test panels before I was satisfied. I feel it is too rough for a Mustang application..?? Maybe if it's reduced enough. This stuff sprays on thick and dries fast.. and dont criss cross your spray pattern. It can really build up thick areas and mess up the pattern, or make a undesired stripe pattern on your hood.

Another question how much did you flatten the black for your bumper brackets? Did you paint your seat frames yet if so how much did you have to flatten them? Thanks for any help you can give me Greg

Hey, I got mine from Roger as well. I have to look at my notes to see how much we reduced it, I think I wrote it in this thread somewhere. My bumper brackets are shot with Eastwood Semi gloss, which is probably not correct. I think they should be gloss?? I'm in the middle of taking the bucket seats apart now, and going to blast he tracks this week. I'm painting them gloss black. I'm trying to get the car finished up asap! Maybe May/June??

Did you make it to the Nat's?  I was busy and forgot to look for it.  I saw a great looking B5 AAR under the tent.  That wasn't you was it?
