Yes it has turned into that. I wanted a car like this so bad the first time around, had no idea I'd get burned and they would not be able to produce what I wanted- a full pro, correct resto. I studied Cuda restorations for the last 7 years, and the last shop would argue with me on what's correct and what's not- I really did know what I was taking about. Not sure if you remember my story on this car, but it means a lot to me- so after all the crap with the last guys I still gave it all I could and had the whole thing redone by the people who should have got it in the first place. Will I ever do this to a car again? No f'n way! Lol.. Can't afford to, but I'm kind of glad it all happened the way it did despite the lost money and BS I had to go through to get her back from that shop owner. It is my dream car again- maybe in a couple of years I will drive it a little, but it's a trailor queen for sure until I can do whatever big shows I can. Word on the street is that Mopar CG wants to shoot it soon and put my story in! So my fingers are crossed. I had one great summer driving this sucker around 7 years ago- I bought that B Body and have had a blast with it. I've still got a mint 71 orange 383 convert that is awaiting a resto like this- if I can afford it in a couple years I may slowly tackle it- its solid and needs way less attention then this blue bastard did.. But if I don't, I'll sell it and the 68 Satellite and get my other dream Mopar to drive- a black on black 71 Cuda hardtop, It's the Phantasm car! I'm a huge horror buff and collector and that car keeps calling me.  Thing is I'll never be able to afford another 71 convert - I stole that sucker! This site has been a lot of fun with everybody- glad to be a part of it! Whatever I end up doing you guys will be the first to know! Haha

Here's some hidden detail that I am excited about- an original almost NOS license plate bracket and NOS gas cap.. I also have one of the new
repro fuel necks in that are correct finish. Looks cool.

I really like the B5 blue with blue interior. It will be a blast to drive when it is all back together.

Looks incredible! I say drive it a little around the block at least to keep the engine lubed and such. Not to mention getting on the gas a little to throw those high heals up in the air!

A few cell phone spy photos from this morning.

Front end is now together... elastomeric bumper, lower valence and insert, the complete grill and headlights, and NOS road lamp all installed.
And the AAR lower chin spoilers!

The new carpet arrived and now the interior can now go in.

Here are a few until I can really photograph it on Friday-
It is so darn close now..

The seat belts like I said might come back out and get re-done. I sent Ssnake Oyl a very detailed message the other day but got no response.
I need to see them in person.

The one thing we talked about today was if the neg battery cable on a 340 had orange overspray. Every AAR I have ever seen has it.. BUT, the E Body ICCA book by Dave Wise states that every engine had the orange overspray except a 340- I never knew this. I looked up a shot of a survivor AAR car I photographed and saw that it had no paint on it, So I guess it could be true.
