Got the booster and master in place. I'm starting to mask off the engine compartment in the morning for the Organosol black paint. (finally). We're going to shoot some more test panels first before we paint the car.  I noticed I had the wrong fender bolts in place, so I got the correct bolt kit with the stud type bolts.

Today I sprayed  the header panel brackets with a little more blue, then taped off specific lines to match factory tape lines on the AAR Cuda organosol paint process.... you can see in the reference photos  what I'm talking about..The factory just ran a piece of tape across the header panel, shot it black, and you could see body color on the tabs..

Really coming along nicely. GORGEOUS!  :2thumbs:

So on the fender bolts. I see some are studs coming up from the bottom. Is that factory on an AAR? Don't know that ever saw or noticed that before.

That was one of the only things I was never sure on... I have studied a million pics of fully restored AAR's over the years, and about 90% of them have the 3 stud type bolts on each fender...once I saw it on the OEM GOLD certified AAR, it made up my mind...(I actually just changed them out a week ago!) I remember watching that purple AAR sell on Ebay for 140k or so back then.. then about 5 months later it brought $226k at BJ... insane! What a cool car... here's a pic of his engine.. also note how he faded in the organosol on the cowl...no tape... I have never seen this done on any other AAR..ever. All survivor cars have the tape marks from what I can tell......?

Hears the blackout I did today on the front of the car..... came out cool. I studied some pics of survivor cars, and some reference pics from Roger Gibson on the spray patterns. Got the paint from him too...
