I haven't been on in awhile, but it's been one heck of a summer for the blue car. 2013 Monster Mopar in Indy was really cool! they used my car on the trophies and dash plaques since I was best of show in 2012. I ended up taking First in the AAR class. Shortly after this I was invited to be in the t building in Carlisle. This was one of my favorite events since I got to meet so many people here on the forum. I then took First at The Nats in Columbus Ohio then on to Norwalk Monster Mopar where it took First in Class and Best Of Show Stock. Then just this weekend I won a really exciting event.. I won the Goodguys Speedway Nationals in Indy and I'm now one of the 12 competing finalists in the country going after the 2013 Hemmings Musclecar of the Year!! I believe I will know in 2 or 3 weeks who wins. My nerves will be shot until it is over, haha.

Stumbled onto this page and really enjoy the reading and pictures, what a beautiful car.

What happened to the pictures at the start of the thread?? do they vanish after some period of time??

:clapping: Congratulations on your success so far Rudy :bananasmi I hope you do get the big one and take out the country with best muscle car, that would be some achievement for sure :jumping:
I loved looking at your entire build process and how particular you were throughout the whole build making sure everything was perfect, the painstaking length of such a build is now paying off.  :2thumbs:
SO happy for you and it would be awesome if you flodded us with a walk around picture posting of your finished car, if you do not mind sharing some more pictures please

Hey there! Thanks for the good words!! It has been a exciting season for sure, this weekend I am up at the MCACN show, only on display since I competed last year. One more fun thing before winter. This link shows a lot more shots of the build, the thread photos are so old they just get deleted I guess..

Also.. this is the car that took 2013 Muscle Car Of the Year... a black Nova. Cant win them all... a Chevy took it.
I can re-enter next year, I came in second place.. the sparkly B5 blue was no match for black I guess. The car is very nice, excellent restoration.

Congrats Rudy.  Your car shows so well I'm surprised you didn't win.  How are your other projects going?

Hey! The body work starts on the 71 next month.  My HEMI is at the engine builder now and he's starting the rebuild. Past couple of months have been a stand still, Ken had to finish a HEMI Charger 500 for the MCACN show this weekend! now that it's out of the way we are starting on the  black Cuda. I'm getting excited!

When they start working on the 71 post some pictures. That Charger 500 that Ken had at MCACN was beautiful the blue really pops under the lights. Kens crew does fantastic work.
