If you like airplanes form the first plane to the latest jets then you need to see the air force museum. The air force museum is at Wright-Patterson air force base in Dayton Ohio. It is the world's largest and oldest military aviation museum. It is free to get in to. The day i was there they had the c-5 galaxy fling over the base, now that is a big plane.

Neat pics. I think that was the B24 that ran into a pole while taxing a few years ago.

It would have to be, as its the only flying B-24 still operating. Collings Foundation runs it and a few others (B17, B25, P51 etc). They tour the country every year, you can buy rides on each of the planes. I flew on the B24 pictured a couple years ago! Well worth the money.  :2thumbs:

The day i was there they had the c-5 galaxy fling over the base, now that is a big plane.

I flew in one as a passenger once in 81' when I was in the Military.
They give you ear plugs before takeoff. Only 10-20 passenger seats. The rest is for cargo.

Here's the Fortress I saw last year.
