Pics needed: Hookup of conole shifter to tranny
« on: April 30, 2009 - 07:45:41 AM »
Now that I am delving deeper towards getting the tranny connected to the car,  I found I may be missing some stuff..... :'(

In the manual, there is a "lower rod" , "adjustable swivel" and a bracket that looks like it bolts "somewhere" on the side of the tranny.....the manual has a sketch.

Can someone post a picture of how the shifter "torque arm" attaches to the tranny on a console car?

I have the torque arm but that is it......when I got the car I remeber that I pulled a rod from the bottom of the car that was just hanging there liek someone hung it there temporarily, off the back of the engine.....at the time I thought it was the kickdown , but now wondering if it wasnt the lower rod.....Saying "was" because I cant find the dang thing now!    :banghead: :swear:  Are the rod and the "adustable swivel" hard to find/expensive?

It bolts here:

and now you are gonna say that your transmission does not have the two holes ......right? because not all of them do.
