Could be bad news but it could be good news also.  Guess we will see if they can make it.  I hope so anyways.

You never know what kind of cars they might put out if they do get together.

The diesel version of the Fiat 500 gets 56 mpg. I call it the Prius killer.  :cooldancing:  :roflsmiley:

Heck, my '87 Honda CRX got 50 mpg when it was new and that was 22 years ago. With a rebuild I could probably get it up around 65 or better.

Fiat has built some neat cars and they have built some real run of hte mill stuff. In general, boring cars are what should support a car company as most people just want decent, reliable transportation and not flash or fun. Overall, I look forward to seeing them back in the American market.

The union with Fiat is not what worries me. Having the US Gov in the car business scares the bejezuz out of me though.

You can kiss the Challenger, Charger and 300 goodbye.  Not in Obama's vision for a new Chrysler  :villagers:

Fix It Again Tony, it Drips Oil and Drops Grease Everywhere   :roflsmiley:

I agree, the worst part is the US Gov't being involved in ANOTHER industry.  I always thought they'd creep socialism into the mix slowly but in the first 100 days of the Obamantion looks like we are jumping in with both feet.  First, gov't owned banks, now gov't owned auto companies, Up next - UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE! Can you say Swine Flu Epidemic?   We all know the only people that can save us from this dreaded disease are the mighty members of Congress and the Annointed One Himself!

You haters need to lighten up.

The Gov't bailed out Ma Mopar 30 years ago AND MADE MONEY!  It can happen again.

Would you have rather have Chrysler go down the tubes and thousands of jobs go away?  Heck, I think many of you would rather give another trillion in tax cuts for the well off like what happend in the past 8 years. :eek4:

I am glad the Gov finally stepped up and did something and not set back and watched it all happen and not did a thing that they could have to save the country and the jobs.  I dont exspect the gov to do everything but just help out and get this economy going again.  And they are trying even if it dont all work out at least they are trying.  I know Chrysler can make it like they did before and maybe even be better off in the long run.
