I've come to some conclusions from what I've observed in the media.
This strain of flu seems no worse than average.
A percentage of the population is at risk of complications that could lead to serious illness some resulting in death.
People do not get flu from swine, rather in this case someone with flu was in contact with swine & the cross contamination resulted in a hybrid that has a small percent of swine-flu DNA.
Personally these observations.
I have noticed that the reported cases seem to be concentrated among pretty young people, mostly school age.
The last outbreak of swine-flu was in '76 so anyone living then has probably been exposed to it at some time and developed antibodies, I've always heard you never catch the same cold twice.
Every few years there seems to be a more serious outbreak of flu but I have not even ran a fever in about the last 20-years, so until a new more virulent strain comes along maybe I won't pick it up... Still I'm being careful.
The federal Government is doing what it should BUT I'm certain there are some that will take advantage of the situation to further their agenda...there always is.
If left unchecked & this gets out of hand even if the mortality rate is no higher than the seasonal flu usually passed around the shear number of effected people would cause the death total to be many times more than normal.
