Man, sorry to hear this. Sounds like both of you have had a bad week. I had a pinched nerve in my neck once, no fun at all. The muscles are inflamed because they are in spasm and the body is protecting the nerve, the nerve keeps on hurting because the muscle is inflamed. Turns out to be a big ole circle jerk and it takes forever to get better. Hope you two both get better soon. Smoke inhalation can be a bad thing, watch her carefully.

I know about back pain also.  I have had several things done to mine also.  I pulled a muscle on my lower back one time I think in 1979 and it still hurts from now and then.  I get back spasms and had them real bad back then,  I had shock theropy on it and could not do much for several weeks.  Guess that is why I dont like cold weather any more.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Holy crap Jackie............... :22yikes: you girls have been having a string of bad luck :1zhelp:
Totally strip the interior and make sure you use a real strong industrial cleaner to help with the smell in Shelby's car, it will need a scrub and a gernie i would say.

Glad she is alright, but you will have to watch her because of the dangerous fumes that were airborn floating around inside the car, they are very toxic and will take a little while to flush them out of Shelby's system.  Plenty of water, and some milk would be good to help line her stomach.

Glad to hear the injections are helping, hopefully you have not agrevated them by moving around before they had time to do there job.  The injection procedure sounds real scary, i cringed just reading about it......... :eek4:

Hugs and kisses for both you and Shelby, Hope the year turns around and gets better from now on.

Let me know if you need anything from me at all, i am here for you :swaying:

Hope both of you are getting better.I had steriod injections in my back which sound similar. They took a big needle and stuck it right into the my disc and then shot the steriod concoction thru that.It was cool as I got to see it on x-ray as they were doing it!

What a day!    :faint:   At least she wasn't hurt any worse than she was, and the car can be repaired.  Both of you keep your heads up and brighter days are ahead....

I'm glad everyone is OK!!!!  Cars can be repaired but people take a lot longer. Sounds like you both need a day or two to just recover.

Sure glad Shelby is OK, but I'm sure it will be a long while before she is able to "forget" about it, never will actually. And I hope you are feeling better too Jackie. Construction zone or not, I'm stopping that car and getting my butt outa there !

:iagree:  I'm glad it was not worse for Shelby.  Cars can be reapired/replaced, you only have 1 life.  I'm sure it was very traumatic for Shelby.  Give her lots of time to heal and a bunch of hugs. She'll be alright.

BEST WISHES TO BOTH OF YOU. I had 5 sets of steroid injections into my back and my wifes mustangs caught fire and burned up a fews years back so I know what you are going through but she was unhurt and got a new car and it has been 2 years since my last injection and my back is doing good. I went from a 8 or 9 pain level down to a 1 or 2. So hopefully you will get the same results and a new car for Shelby.
Hang in there.
