Man, some people are little slow
when it comes to understanding why so many Americans are frustrated with the loss of manufacturing based jobs in America.
It is very obvious (To most anyway) that America is quickly becoming the follower when it comes to developing new manufacturing technology rather than being the inventor/creator/leader of manufacturing technology as we once were.
We are slowly but surely becoming more and more dependent upon foreign owned businesses and their countries for our own survival. Just take a look at how much money we have borrowed from China and other countries during this latest recession/depression. We cant even stand on our on feet anymore!!!
I am ok with global trading when all things between these countries are equal. What I have a problem with is when the reasons we are losing manufacturing jobs is do to:
1. Our own government relaxing trade barriers to the point that we as Americans cannot compete with countries who pay 0.50cent on the hour.
2. Corporate America being allowed to take advantage of Americans by moving their operations to countries that only pay 0.50cent on the hour.
In the end, it means we as Americans will continue to be forced to lower our standard of living (at least for some Americans) in order for other countries to catch up with us. Thus you will continue to see the elimination of the middle class!!!
