Steering Column Rebuild Questions.... with pics..
« on: May 02, 2009 - 07:28:35 PM »
Ok.. so I'm in the middle of rebuilding my steering column.

while taking apart, I came across this...

These are the wire from the iginition box... someone before cut the wires to the key buzzer switch.. (If that's what it is called?)
and there are two holes in the ignition wire harness..

do they go together?

and how? where can i get parts?

Also... are these the correct bolts for the base plate?.. the fit the holes in the floorboard.. just seems odd the holes are that big in the peice...

Thanks

yes on both , the 2 red wires are for the key in ign buzzer , you may not want them re-connected LOLbut yes they go into the 2 open holes in the plug
those are the correct bolts for the base plate , it just allows a lot of movement to center the column correctly

HMM... see, I've been toying with that idea in my head...I'm unsure of what to do eitherway.. one side of says.."It's out.. Fix It Now while you easily can".. other side says.."I hate that buzzer..."...  :clueless:

Any Opinons?

how about fixing the wiring, but disconnecting the actual buzzer?
