E-BODIES IN SWITZERLAND 2009
« on: May 03, 2009 - 03:16:00 PM »
Hi guys (and girls)

me and my girlfriend just came back from an awesome meeting of US-cars in Switzerland. Besides cool athmosphere and countless great cars (both old and new), there were also quite a few E-bodies. Enjoy the pics we brought back from this trip.   :ylsuper:

Is it just me, or is nearly every Challenger there running the same set of Cragars? ???

Awesome pics! Looks like a lot of really nice cars, pretty good Mopar turnout at that show!  :2thumbs:

True, i thought the same after seeing them over and over again. Personally, i feel the round-hole-design compliments an E-body really nice. However not many different types and brands of such wheels are available here in Europe. For example i had to order my Weld Draglites directly from the states (and i'm really happy with that decision). Cragars seem to be distributed here in Europe, that's why a lot of people prefer to go the easy way and get what their dealer already stocks.

So far, i've only seen one other Challenger running Draglites.

Hahaha and just look at that oversized badge underneath the wing saying "Challenger"... in case you mistake that car for a Hyundai.  ;) The vertical steel bar where the badge is mounted to looks like it's cut out from a garden fence.

The only downside of seeing so many E-bodies at a meeting is, it's not THAT special and exclusive anymore if you drive one too. For example there have been only a handful of late 60s Chargers, compared to about 30 E-bodies. That being said, i still wouldn't want to trade my Chally in for any other classic - i just love it. And there are way more 'Vettes and Mustangs out there than E-bodies anyway.
