XV seatbelts? ANyone
« on: May 04, 2009 - 09:54:07 AM »
I did a search and saw a flurry of activity around teh XV 3 point retractable seatbelts but not much followup.

The look and price seem to be what I am looking for....

Can anyone tell me if they have these belts and how they like them?  Also, do they include the hardware?

Thanks!

They're just van seat belts w/XV stickers on them, but they're the same price.

Thanks...They seem to be about the same across the board when looking for this style belt.

I was gonna try and find used retractors for my car (I have the buckles and the shoulder belt) but havent much luck.....plus mine were blue and someone dyed them black.....in fair shape but some rust, etc......cleaned up fair......but being 40 years old and such, not sure I would trust them.......

I like them too.  The don't come with new bolts so you either have to use the old ones or find a new set.  The blend in very well.  No one has ever noticed that they weren't original equiptment, or at least they never mentioned them.

I think I have bolts I can use......probably not hard to find them in an autostore, too, eh?

Any other mods or hardware needed or is this truly plug and play?

Looks like XV and the Wesco belts are exactly the same.....

Any prefs on which vendor as far as support, speed of delivery, etc?

I used a set of 3-points from Beams that have the lift latch style release that you find on an airplane.  I didn't like the GM-look of the release button on the XV set.

A little disappointed in XV....

The ysay they tailor to the mopars and e bodies...

But they dont stock the correct hardware (seatbelt bolts) for them.   :clueless:

It looks to me like XV's belts are these belts with their stickers on them;

I used the Andover belts in my Cuda and like them.

Very reasonably priced!  If I add a center belt in the rear I'll go with that company.  :grinyes:

I have the Andover belts in my Challenger and like them also.  Last year on Moparts someone pointed out they were the exact same as the XV belts in an XV thread.   Only difference was he cheaper price. The comments disappeared and were never seen again.  LOL
