Anyone ever try a cheap harbor freight sand blaster?

I had mine blasted 12 years ago.  Still getting sand.  Never been on a rotesserie, though.

I think i am going to try and tape off most of the holes in the frame rails and try and blow everything out. I want to get some of that coating that you shoot inside the rails, but need to get them cleaned out first.

I have a friend that paid 8 hours of labor to another friend and his brother to remove sand from his blasted body.  They just kept turning it then blowing through the holes, then turning and blowing etc.  Thats a ton of money just for sand removal. I wonder if they got it all out.

I've been collecting plugs of all various sizes whereever I can find them for when I get mine done.
As far as the frames inside, use Rust fighter by 3M with a wand on the end of a shutz gun after painting the car.

My car was sandblasted before I got it.  Everytime I pull the vent open for fresh air, I keep getting my legs sandblasted from the left over sand inside the cowl area.  I have tried everything I could with the car being on the ground from blowing compressed air to a garden hose.  I've pretty much given up and if I want air, just open the window or vent window.

Have a friend that just finished his Cuda last year.

:roflsmiley:I can sure see that. Everytime i roll mine over, i have a little sand pile under mine. I think i have swept my garage more in the last year than i have ever handled a broom, period!

Does CO2 blasting leave behind that kind of a mess?  The other option is US Car Tool taht bakes the body at 800 degres.
