4 Gears or 5?
« on: May 06, 2009 - 10:56:48 PM »
We are putting a 340 in our '70 cuda. My uncle is willing to trade us either another 4spd, or a 5spd out of a 90's dakota. Is the 5 speed worth it? How hard would it be to hook up? We aren't worried about the shifter location as there is already a substantial hole in the floor because it has an A-body 4spd in it.....That, we did not do :roflsmiley:

I posed a similar question recently & the responses I received suggested staying with the OE style... there is an 833OD available from later model trucks that is viable

Well I would be looking at Clasic for the 5 Spd over Keisler , all the Keisler trannys I have installed have problems 1 way or another
