Boy Russ, that's a hard question.............................I can't remember  :roflsmiley:  I mean, after all...............I graduated high school in '64 and bought my first Mopar in '65, man that's a long time ago  :smilielol: I guess i'm and old fart for sure, and I guess I've had more fun than I can remember.  Although I did listen to rock I at that time was more into say ole Mere Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson.....etc. But come the 70's I was truly "converted" to rock. And the Eagles were my favorite.............hell, I still want to go to Winslow, AZ.  :bananasmi  :cheers:

Thanks for the memories Russ............... :drunk: :drunk: :wave:

Winslow, AZ is one of the planned destinations as well after my Challenger is done :thumbsup:

I'm all about the rock and blues but in 1978 my license (but not my keys :naughty:) endured it's first 90 day suspension for too many points accumulated...

(Officer receiving my license) "How did you get here?"

(Me, being too honest for my own good as usual) "I drove"

(Officer receiving my license) Looooong Clint Eastwood glare.........."Go, before I change my mind"

A co-worker at the DP center of Birmingham Trust Nat'l Bank gave me rides to and from work. Big giant friendly guy named Charles Barnhill who had just bought a brand new white with red interior Pontiac TA always had the 8-track of Willie Nelson's 'Red Headed Stranger' plugged in. I really got to like every song of Willie's which opened me up to Merle and the rest of their music :grinyes:

Great stuff everyone! All the good rock and blues from 1976 (while graduating hs) and 1977 for me as well :smokin:

Some not so well known ones too. Anyone ever cruise that first Mopar to Amon Duul, Klaatu, Cat Steven's 'Banapple Gas' ("It's...Certified"  ;D), or Kraftwerk's 'Autobahn'?

Songs from these standards kept me in good company as well; 'Dark Side of the Moon', 'Machine Head', 'Who's Next', 'Physical Graffiti', 'Fandango' - still can't quite sing 'Mellow Down Easy' like Dusty can :grinno: :ylsuper: - 'Rides Again' and 'Bang' from the James Gang, 'Solar Fire' from Mannfred Mann, even some Joni Mitchell :)

All those 8-tracks took up space, so in the early 80's the Craig which I still have gave way to a Blaupunkt CR-2010 cassette and a couple of Blaupunkt amps. First song played was 'Back In Black' :smokin: :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

My brother in law always liked rock but he dug on Kraftwerk for some reason. I have listened to a few songs and never could get into it.  :dunno:
1971 Challenger (OO==== ====OO) getting close!
