Space saver spare tire question
« on: May 07, 2009 - 04:40:49 PM »
Was the space saver spare tire standard on all e-bodies? If it was optional, was it a stand-alone option or was it included with something else?

Barry will know for sure, but I think SS's came standard on all cars with 15" wheels.

I never said it made sense  :roflsmiley: and when I asked the same question, I got a bit of guff, so I dropped it. Maybe we'll have more luck this time around.

I remember reading somewhere that it was optional on challenger and challenger r/t's.  Standard on challenger convertibles.  Mandatory if you got 15" rims.  But, I've been known to be wrong before.

Anytime.

Also note that the tire size listed for 1971 is wrong, the F78-14 replaced it about mid-1970 model year.

For some reason the 1971 data book was not corrected.........
