Mopar pics from local show
« on: May 10, 2009 - 08:32:05 PM »
Here are a few pics of some mopars that were at a show i was at this weekend, i got 2nd in the mopar class, behind the blue barracuda. He beat me by 1.5 points, i scored 1.5 points better then him on paint, he scored 3 better then me on engine (his whole motor just looked like one big piece of polished aluminum, it looked very impressive, i wish i had gotten a close up of it) and we tied on everything else. I was very happy with second, i beat out a lot of nice cars. the 57 chevy in the last pic took best of show. I didnt take a pic of my car at the show so i took one in front of the rock cabins we were staying in.

Great pics.  I think they all look good...........congrats on 2nd....

they all were very nice cars. The top 5 mopars were only seperated by a few points. The blue barracuda scored a 91.5, i scored a 90, the yellow gtx scored an 88 and the yellow convertable cuda scored an 87. The best of show 57 chevy scored a 96 with 24 out of 25's on everything, i guess a 24 is the highest they will give.

Is it too late for me to vote for your T/A?   :droolingbounce: That's one great looking car, you should have won the overall hands down.  Must have been some old geezers that like 57's and know nothing about real muscle cars.   :burnout:

Thanks Guys, the guy with the 57 chevy was pretty cool, i talked to him for a minute, he sure loved that car to death, he was retired and had more money then he knew what to do with, i just could never have a car that was soo nice, the bottom of that car looked as good as the top, it was all body color or chrome. had corvette engine, tranny, and suspention, costom leather interior. all of the emblems and the trim that went between the 2 chrome pieces on the rear quarters was all airbrushed on, it looked really good too.  I really think i could have got first in the mopar class if i had cleaned on my engine compartment some more. I drive my car A LOT and when you drive them a lot its hard to keep the engine compartment clean. the blue barracudas engine was very impressive, it was all polished aluminum or body color compared to mine which is stock, i think that is what won it for him, and to begin with he was in the street machine class but the judges (one was his buddy) switched him into the mopar class after they started judging, the 57 chevy that won BOS was also in the street machine class. Hmmmmmm...........  But like i said im very happy with 2nd place, there were alot of nice cars

they are 15x8's all the way around, not sure about back spacing. No mods at all. they are 2 inches or more away from the springs. If i were you i would get 15x7's for the front. I would have got them like that but i found these used and they were too good of a deal to pass up. rims, tires, center caps, and lugnuts with 400 miles on them for $550. I have 235/60's on the front and 255/60's on the back.
