The trim ring is tight .( :bananasmi) My next problem is the seal . I have seen adds for a cap you use under the flip one . Upon a closer look I see a rubber stopper on the flip cap that looks like a seal however it looks to short to reach the fill pipe . Any one know anything about this ? :clueless:

Our whole flip top fits terribly.  I believe the rear fender replacement has a much shallower detent. I am going to have to do some major reduction surgery to get the plastic neck to fit right.  Has anyone else been through this?

My new flip top (PG Classics) went onto my Goodmark quarter just fine.  The 3 attachment tabs where you screw the assembly onto the quarter had to be trimmed a bit because of the indent on the repro quarter being different from the factory quarters, but that was very easy to do.  As far as the filler tube, there were no problems with that at all.

BadJoey - the rubber "stopper" on the inside of the flip top just pushes up against the inner cap I guess to keep it from rattling around, and is not meant to seal the filler tube.

The cap I got is not like the original . It is a plain one with the 2 tabs on the top and fits like a glove . Sorry I can't do the pitcher thing . I missed that boat but I'm sure everyone has seen one like it .
