If the 7 1/4 is still in the car, I would run it. If you wait and find an 8 3/4 in the future,you can narrow it and be set for anything you do with the car in the future.  :cheers:

7 1/4 will last long enough for you to do your build.  I ran one behind a strong 318 in a much heavier car.  It did come out in pieces, though.  Ever see a spider gear with no teeth?

 :iagree:  With a lite A body it should hold up with a 318 for a while.
