Englishtown N.J.
« on: May 12, 2009 - 11:22:11 AM »
Going to the Mopar show for the first time in Englishtown N.J. (looking to buy a car). Is this show worth the 4 hour trip or would it be better to wait for Carlisle?? I hear the N.J. show is getting smaller every year... :burnout:

This used to be a great show. Now it is not. The swap meet is small. The turnout of cars has been pretty low. In my opinion, Carlisle is THE best mopar show, bar none! I like Carlisle better than the Mopar Nats ( I go to both every year). The only draw back at Carlisle is they don't have drag racing (on site).

Wait for Carlisle.  The selection will be huge compared to E town.

Thanks for the input, I am looking for a nice 69 Road Runner, 69 SuperBee or Challenger...

There is a pretty large coral for cars for sale at Carlisle. You do see some good deals occasionally, but there are dreamers there too that have watched too much of the Barrett-Jackson sales on TV. I went to Englishtown 3 years ago. That track is first rate, but racing is all I would say it was worth looking at. The car show and swap meet area was underwhelming in my opinion.
