Proud Dad II
« on: May 13, 2009 - 12:07:22 AM »
I dont want to wear you guys out but I thought I would give my son the same pat on the back that I gave my daughter. This afternoon my son was tapped into the Junior National Honor Society. He is an 8th grader, gets great grades, plays trumpet in band and is a pretty darn good soccer player in his own right. One of the conditions we put on his right to play his PS3 and XBox360 is a minimum of A/B honor roll. I tell ya, when you find whats important to your kid it can make all the difference in the world when used as positive leverage   With that said, atta boy Christian!

Thats awesome! Ever kid has the potential to do well in school, It think its that sort of reasoning that gets a kid motivated to apply themselves.  :2thumbs:

I had great grades all through school and university, my parents used to let me go to parties whenever I wanted and no curfew as long as I had a good report card..lol.  :smilielol:

Thanks guys. Actually you are right Jim. Although I skipped a grade early in school and had the potential, I started hanging around the wrong crowd starting in 9th grade. I was shocked when I had to get my high school transcripts for the apprenticeship I am in now. Absolutely horrible grades, its a wonder I graduated. I was even man enough to show my kids those horrible grades  :dupe:
