Mounting the remote section on a Challenger Mirror
« on: May 14, 2009 - 12:00:09 PM »
I was wondering if I could get some info. I am mounting a new chrome remote mirror on my 73. It came with 2 clips and a plastic hose on the remote section of the mirror. I need to know where the clips mount and where the plastic hose is suppost to go. Any one got pics?
I got the mirror from a member here and it didn't come with any instruction.

I think I know where you are talking about. It is on the hinge end of the door?
I though it might go there but the clips seem way to large to fit into the small holes. Anyone got a pic or drawing? I checked my manual and there is no mention of the mirror I could find anywhere.

Lastly what about the plastic tube? Where does that go?

I've messed with several remote mirrors, but none had a plastic tube.   :clueless:

Yea, It had to be put on when assembled. Because there is no way to get it off. It holds all the lines together. Not sure why.
Honestly the clips seem to large to find in any of the existing holes. I still have not been able to located the proper location for these clips to clip. Any photo's or info would be great. THANKS!!  :worshippy

TRUE, Just wondered if it was in the manul and I missed it in a drawing. So Far I have just left them hanging and it does not bind. Will try again to find something to mount it to.

part of the frame of the door near the upper hinge re-inforces the upphinge area & runs front to rear in the door has the hole in it to clip the remote cables into
