Parts for Challengers dwendling on eBay?
« on: May 15, 2009 - 03:14:50 PM »
Is it just my imagination or have the number of Parts for a 1970 Challenger on eBay gone way down?  I just don't see very much listed any more.  Are guys keeping their parts because they are not realizing the prices they expect in this economy?  Or am I just using the wrong search criteria (Parts:  Dodge, Challenger, 1970)?

I just did a search for "70 challenger" and got 1300 hits and 27 pages of parts. Give that a try.

I must be doing somehing wrong:

motors.eBay.com
Parts & Accessories
     Make:      Dodge
     Model:     Challenger
     Year:       1970

And I only get 312 items!

Try this.... the filters in the new eBay suck   if you like it bookmark in your favorites, then if your looking for something specific just click in first the position & add the word to look for in front of challenger

Charlie,

There are many items that are 1970 only as far as Challengers go. There are also items from 71-74 Challengers that can work on a 1970. I usually just search E-Bay motors for "Challenger". Then I have 110 pages to look thru.   :faint:

My point is, the more specific you get, the more you might miss. Case in point, I got a great deal on the lower right dash trim piece for a 70 Challenger. That is a one year only molding. The item was listed as being for a '71.   :naughty:

Go to www.ebay.com and in the general search field type in "70 challenger" that is how I got the hits.

Don't use fleebay's retarded model-specific search as most sellers don't list this way. As stated above, "70 challenger" or just "challenger" in the main search box will get the most results.

If there are less parts, it's because we're sick of the ever-increasing fees, rules and changes to fleabag and their mentally challenged CEO's desire to be more like Amazon.

I have noticed fewer parts available also.

Recently dealt with a seller and he said prices are way down. Possibly some are holding out.

Along the same lines, try misspelling your search words.  For example:  instead of challenger, type chalenger or challlenger

I've done that in the past and found items that no one bid on because they were not coming up in search results because the seller had a typo in the listing.  It pretty much hit or miss, but some deals can be found this way.
