Last I heard, Just Dashes could not match the original vinyl pebbling/grain pattern.

I've heard that about their restored interior panels but never about their dashes.  All I can say is that the grain looks exactly like the grain in my other challenger but it's possible that the dash in that car was redone by Just Dashes too, I'm not really sure.

I can post a picture of the grain, if anyone is interested.

Ok, here's a close up of the grain pattern for the Just Dashes one.

Not to continue the hijack, but Year One is the Wal Mart of resto suppliers.

'Nuff said!
I gotta agree. My step father used to "produce" Chevelle, Nova and El Camino parts and 99% were manufactured overseas and his largest customer was Year One. I'm not saying good repro parts can't be made overseas, but be wary of what you buy and from where. As long as you're happy with what you got and what you paid for it then that's all that matters. Just try not to get taken. I'll eventually be in the market for a lot of this stuff and the info I learn from you folks here is priceless.

The grain looks good.  Quite a bit of difference around the logo though.  I'm glad mine is a '71 with the little plaque instead.  I may have to put Just Dashes back on the possibles list.

Yeah, the outline around the logo is quite different on the repro from Just Dashes.  I wonder if they've improved their mold any in the last ten years.  :dunno:

It would be nice to see pictures of other aftermarket brands for comparison.

Hey Nick....

I don't mean to hijack, but how much are the 71-74 B-body pads?

Thanks
My name is Steve and I'm addicted to Challengers...

I looked at a Cuda today that supposedly had a dash pad from Just Dashes installed in it.  I have included a picture below of the dash.  I was disappointed in what I saw.  The lines were not as crisp as my original and seemed to wash out very noticably around the drivers side area, as you see in the picture.  Is this what I can expect on an expensive replacement dash?

Looks like maybe they had some poor quality control.  I don't seem to have that issue on my JD dash.
