I don't know how old the dash was in the car I saw or if it was a discounted part due to a known defect.  It may be that dashes from JD are fine.  I just don't know and was concerned about what I saw.

Puffy?...in what way?  I don't really see anything puffy about the JD dash I've got and it has a metal core as well. The only thing that I see wrong with the JD dash is that it doesn't have as crisp an outline around the Challenger emblem as an original dash but I suspect that the other aftermarket dashes are the same way.

If you have a UR dash please post some pictures, so we can see what it looks like.  I can take additional pictures of a JD dash for comparison.  I'm sure we'd all be interested in finding out who really makes the best product.   :thumbsup:
