two questions......regarding fuel tank
« on: May 17, 2009 - 12:56:47 PM »
As the saga continues.....I need the measurement for the fuel line hole in the trunk pan as my new pan had no hole and what is the far right (passenger side) hole for?

Do you mean fuel filler hole? The passenger side hole is for the vent/evap tube if your car was equipped with one.

It didn't come with them, so I will fill the hole with a gasket. Any one have the dimensions for the fuel tube hole as my floor pan has no hole for it and i have to cut one

For the fuel fill pipe, do you have the gasket that seals between the fill pipe and trunk floor?   Tracing the periphery of the gasket, then offset for screw holes would be one way to size it.

OK, so with N95 or without?

This photo shows a non-N95 application, I can get dimensions of it for you if it is what you need?

I would purchase the rubber seal that goes around the tube and screws to the trunk floor. It has the proper shape needed formed into it.
Trial fit the tank and tube after cutting a smaller oval shaped hole to fit the filler tube to mark the final location. Mark where the seal and screws will mount, then cut out the rest.

I made a small hole for the cuda filler, then decided that if I left it small, water would sit on the remaining lip if I didn't cut it all the way out. You'll see this when you go to screw down the rubber seal.

What I would need is the dimensions for the filler tube into the trunk pan, just above where is goes into the fule tank, as I have no hole there

I do not have images of that on file, & the back of my car is blocked with building materials for the house right now. So....

Hopefully someone else can check theirs for you.
