The ring gear is welded onto the convertor.

:22yikes: Are you sure, I had my starter motor off and was looking at the damaged teeth on the ring gear.

It looked as though the ring gear was heat shrunk onto the edge of the flywheel ?

Automatics have no "Flywheel". The ring gear is integral with the convertor and is welded on. That's why you can't find one. You need a new convertor.

If your convertor is not stock, call a good convertor company (TCI, Dynamic, ATI, etc.) you could send your convertor to them and they could change the gear for you and also have it freshen up if so be..
If it's a stock convertor any local trans shop can get you a new/rebuilt pretty reasonable...

If you have a bad spot on the teeth, you can actually repair that one spot with the a piece of ring gear from another converter.  :dunno:
