79 trans am bumper

is there any thing I need to know about painting the front nose and rear bumper on a 79 trans am? Do I use primer then sealer?  :clueless: Tips?

1979 Trans Am??  Is that a Cuda or Challenger that we don't know about??  The moderators didn't flag your post?? :grinyes:  Well you are in luck; here is some info.  If you are painting over original paint, you should use a sealer.  If you are stripping it complete of all old paint, no sealer is necessary.  You will need to use some flex agent in all of the paints that you apply.  Have fun...   :cheers:

Just curious...any details on the Trans Am?  I like the '79-'81's.  We had a couple in our family.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

As far as the T/A. It's an '79, built 455 4sp, t-top car. I will be painting it black with gold trim.  :worshippy

I like the '79 Trans Ams as they are the last year of the big block engines.  455, 4 speed, and t-tops=very cool ride!  :grinyes:
