if you want to get Barry noticed then you have to get his name out there past this forum, anytime anyone is approached by a fan, collector, etc. at any car show plug Barry's name in somehow, e.g. someone asks about your car or your car knowledge and you could reply something like this "well, I get alot of incredibly useful information on an online forum called c-c and there's a guy, BW, who is a memebr of the forum who has a nice registry that he maintains on his own time, yada, yada, yada" The more exposure the better, that's IF, BW wants the exposure, he may want to keep things as they are, low key

Hey Cody, I know this is sort of a hi-jack of my own thread but do you know anyone who is selling a hardtop for a Viper? I have been looking but have not found one for my dad. He uses the soft top almost all the time in the car and you know how well they seal out the weather. I want to find him one of the hardtops but I cannot even find then new much less used. Thanks for any help or tips you might give me.

Hard tops have always been pretty hard to find.  Keep an eye on ebay and the standard viper chat sites.  If all else fails, I'm pretty sure Larry (www.viperpartslarry.com) has a few in he would sell.  Also try Paul Scharf at http://www.donscharfautomotive.com/.  He has about the most used viper parts of anyone in the states

For the record, a lot of folks come to me via casual contacts other folks have made & sent my way. The article in the NY Times a couple years ago helped too, I was contacted by several T/A owners I had not heard from before.

I have no wish to be in the spot light, but.....

...if one hot, sweet, intelligent groupie found me & wanted to start a family, THAT would be sweet.

I have often wondered why you never got a magazine gig like gg? If I remember right he was featured in another Mopar magazine years ago. I think if you could get with say Mopar Muscle and offer to do some sort of E-body or even a general decoding tutorial it might gain your site much more exposure which in turn would probably uncover more T/A's. Ever thought of doing something like that?

A big write-up in MCG for Galen over the sending in of extra build sheets so he can reunite them with long lost owners. Well he may have been doing this service for years and for free like the article states but I know for a fact that Barry has actually BOUGHT build sheets to give back to owners. Think about it, this man we know and respect spends his own money to aquire these sheets for the love of the chase, the chance to make someones year by giving them something they probably would never have the chance to have otherwise. Nothing against "the guru" but if I find a stash of build sheets I know who I will be sending them to.

The question is.... will Galen GIVE these build sheets away like Barry does or will he charge BIG BUCKS like he does for all the other services he slowly provides to us mopar people!!! Have you ever tried to get a response from this man? I know of one person on this forum who has waited over 3 years for him to document her car! she paid him, and has e-mailed him SEVERAL times and still no answer!! BUT he gladly took her money!! is this what he is going to do with all those build sheets!! That would SUCK!! I can surely see why he is getting bad press!!

Well, I do have a writing gig. T/A stories go out in the Challenger T/A Registry Newsletters twice a year. Occasionally there is a non-T/A story too. I have been doing that for about 12 years now, I am looking into having the first ten years made available in book form.

How-to type articles I can put up on the T/A or HH site. I have several research projects in the works that will lead to articles once I gather enough info.

There are a lot of car related things I need & want to do, but I need to get this house done & sold. For right now I am trying to limit my "car time" to have more "house time".

Also, for the record, there are people I will not get back to either, but with good reason. I have no wish to hear from folks I know have lied to me or that I know have been dishonest in other ways, so I block their emails. Life is too short for me to spend my time with those types of people.

Yep, Barry's definately "The Man". He's the one I sent my wrong build sheet to because I know for a fact if the owner shows up Barry will get it to him. But, there's no possible way that he has all the stray build sheets. I'm kinda glad to see that if there's someone/anyone out there hoarding those sheets that they're finally doing something with them, be it GG or anyone else. It burns me to see them on e-bay for big bucks too. I, for one, will be sending in my VIN to MCG.

BTW, It's BH27G0B280831...if anyones got it.
