Who said anything about what this country is run on?  You're the one who feels that President Obama's in bed with the Unions has something to do with todays economy.  If this is in fact your belief, then you need to take an economy class.

If you don't put any weight in campaign slogans, then I suggest you stop manipulating them for your baseless one-liners...

I did read your post in full.  If you're going to cry about everything and everyone, I suggest a therapist; not an online forum.  And I'm sorry, but I can't comprehend your last sentence...

I think you have had one to many cans of Jolt Joe

Why does everyone assume that people who think Obama is a screw up is a Republican?

Also, Joe, it is out there for you to find out, Barney Frank and his goons are the ones who created the housing debacle with their belief that everyone is ENTITLED to a home loan! This created the toxic assets that caused banks to fail. Banks fail and everything else follows suit. I blame Bush as well for bailing them out in the last months of his office.
With Obama's administration shelling out a TRILLION F'ing DOLLARS to banks and car companies it just shows they are two wings of the same bird. Bush liked to spend a whole bunch of money fighting a war that could have cost us half of what we spent (Don't blame the war, it's not the war's fault!)
Obama on the other hand has much more socialistic views and will WASTE our tax dollars at new heights and has dangerous foreign policy theories. :scared:

BTW, Joe, YOU need to go back to Economics class. Skip Economy class.  :2thumbs:

Fight, fight, fight!  :stomp: :stomp: :stomp:

If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck... it's either a repub or a rightwinger.

Out there for me to find out?   :roflsmiley: He don't know me very well, do he?  :2thumbs:
Ok, down this road again.  Gofish, it was, in fact, President Clinton and Company who found a responsible way to to expand home-ownership in the United States.  The program was a resounding success.  But like anything else, it required continued supervision from the same level from which it was created.  Like so much else during the Bush Administration, it did not receive the high level attention that it required.  (here is where you can now insert your Barney Frank grudge and toxic-asset information).

I am glad that you realize that the debt that we now have and the Federal Bail Out Funds were both created by Bush-boy.  But I will once again mention that whatever the President who follows this colossal failure does is a matter of mopping-up and DEALING with fallout.  If it is spending trillions more dollars and address the fractured foreign relationships in extraordinary ways, well, these are extraordinary times.  I certainly don't envy his job.

One thing that strikes my funny bone: you call President Obama's foreign policy theories dangerous; how then do you describe the foreign policy of the former president W?

Also, you boys wouldn't happen to be putting listening time into good Ol' Rush would ya?  Visiting Foxnews?  Just curious....

Let's review Clintons legacy;

His lowering of the standards for obtaining a Mortage loan, without even income verification, led to the highest default rate EVER 10 years later. A very predictable outcome, yes?

His veto of the energy bill on his desk in the mid 90's helped to have our $4+ a gallon gas that also helped to tank our economy and bankrupt our car companies. His quote after vetoing the bill? "We wouldn't get any of that oil to market for 8 years anyway"
(The same thing they say today and the same thing they said 8 years before that...)

His ineffective dealing with terrorism.
1993 World Trade Center bombing - killed six and injured 1,000.
1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia - killed five soldiers.
1996 al-Khobar towers bombing in Saudi Arabia - killed 19 and injured 200 soldiers.
1998 bombing of US embassies in Africa - killed 257 and injured 5,000.
2000 bombing of the USS Cole - killed 17 and injured 3 sailors.
2001 9/11 was sucessful because our intelligence capability had been gutted and failed to connect the dots. This could not happen today thanks to GWB and the "Patriot act". (Subject to change with Obama)

And all of the above happened PRIOR to Guantanamo bay being opened. So much for that Liberal parrot talking point that it made us less safe. We ARE safer now. :grinyes:

The Clinton Administration holds the all-time record for having the greatest number of friends/acquaintances/associates who have: resigned under pressure, plea the 5th amendment in a court of law, flee the country, go to jail or die under mysterious circumstances. (I guess I wouldn’t necessarily call those who have died under mysterious circumstance friends though)

He was the first President ever in US History to be impeached.

He was the first President ever in US History to be disbarred from practicing law in his home state.

He was the first President to pay $800,000 to settle a sexual harassment claim.

He was the first President to be accused by a credible eye witness of rape.

He was the first President to pardon a convicted drug dealer.

He was the first President to have sex with an intern.

He betrayed this country when he allowed massive transfers of American secrets to the Chinese in exchange for illegal contributions to his re-election campaign.

He is directly responsible for the growing threat in North Korea. In 1994, President Clinton sent (of all people) Jimmy Carter to cut a deal with the North Koreans in their effort to develop nuclear weapons. He agreed to give Pyongyang free oil, two free nuclear reactors, diplomatic ties, and increased trade - and Pyongyang agreed to dismantle its bomb-making facilities in 10 years. In December 2002, North Korea restarted its nuclear reactor at Yongbyon and forced two UN nuclear monitors to leave the country. Today, North Korea’s resumption of its nuclear weapons program has much of the world on edge. North Korea claims to have nuclear weapons and to be working on building up its arsenal. So much for your negotiation skills Jimmy.

In an attempt to start a conversation through PM's to minimize the politics in a car dealer thread I PM'ed Joe.

Just got a tongue lashing from ol' Jolting Joe in a PM reply to mine. Don't try to be civil and enter in dialogue. He'll snap at you pretty bad, I'm hurt. I guess Topcat and I talk out of our @$$ too much.

Hi Joe.

Hi Joe.

Civil?  Let the truth be told Mr. Fish:

Joe,
Bush walked with the Saudi King hand in hand and even kissed him. Obama, an admitted fan of Noam Chomsky, shook hands with Chavez and BOWED to the Saudi King! He SHOOK the Queen of Englands hand and gave her an i pod.

Bush had no foreign policy. Obama, with no experience either, has a foreign policy of an appologetic wimpy 5th grader. Both are bad but what we have now is dangerous. Did you see the nuclear test news out of N. Korea today? Obama says he is strongly disappointed but would like to apologize for any inconvenience to them. That'll show them. I don't know what Bush would've done.

We need Ronny Ray-gun diplomacy on these matters.

Yeah, Bush gave a bailout and started the trend. Wouldn't fiscal responsibility have called for cutting the calf off from the tit? Oh, instead they get a Trillion dollars to play with. Our Trillion dollars. Do you think we should be paying for Chinese prostitutes to learn how to use rubbers? Do you think your tax dollars should be going toward funding abortions OVERSEAS to foreigners?

Now, we have the Republicans pretending like they were the God's of fiscal responsibility since the Dems started burning through what little money we have.

This is what the TEA Parties were all about. The whole government spending like crazy.

We need to reign in all of our elected officials. It doesn't matter if they are red or blue. If they spend like crazy, including many socialist agendas the Dems are getting through right now, they are a threat to our national security. We are so far in the hole to China, and it's everyones fault from the first Bush to now, That there is no way we can pressure NK to stop from selling Nukes to terrroristic groups.
National Security mbegins with fiscal responsibility and this "Tough times calls for spending" stuff is DANGEROUS.

BTW, I am a Libertarian and I am not much of a Limbaugh fan but I do find it funy how the left is very good at cutting deep at the right with often very nasty criticism and bad jokes however when a right winger makes bad jokes he is a demon.

I say F'em all in Washington. Move DC to Antartica and tell them when they can figure out how to run government smoothly and not waste money, keep us safe, and vote in pay decreases and term limits for themselves they can take a recess and come home .
----------------------------------------------------
Go-Fish,

Ok, so now we get to your fun little trip-cable.  Did you enjoy the ride?  Does it seem like this is my first time around the block?  You think I didn't know that you were a very opinionated side-liner?  Libertarian you call yourself?

If you, like your pal Topcat, are going to cry and complain about everyone and everything, then you'd better have a working solution.  Otherwise you're both talking out your asses.  I say this with all due respect but it is the truth.

And my God Fish, Ronald Reagan?  The guy would be hung out to dry it todays political environment.  He couldn't even get elected today.  Reganomics???     The smoke & mirror and actor days are long gone...

You seem to have a lot of opinions.  Too bad they are all being wasted on the sidelines Libby.  Maybe you should move to Antartica.

Sorry Topcat, I don't know what he was meaning when he dropped your name.

Joe, You sound like a soldier spitting hippy. Don't call me kid! Grow up?

With all due respect I have served my country in more ways than you ever have in crap holes you wouldn't dare go. I have leaned into danger to secure your freedoms without ever asking for recognition. I have been more places than you, I have seen more shl+ than you, I have done more in my 29 years to improve our Nation and preserve our freedoms.
I have read (and understood) the Constitution, Federalist Papers, and Bill of Rights. I have a degree and yes, I have taken an Economics class even. I can put together sentences that people understand. Unlike you, I have knowledge that there is no institution that offers "Economy class". It is Economics, the study of economy. Your sentence structure shouts that you are not knowledgable of what you type.
Your narcisism shines through like a beacon. Blame the other side for everything and admit no fault of your own. When you are called out you resort to simple cuts. You are seemingly self centered and only want you opinion to advance.
You act as an authoritative figure when you have earned nothing here. You expect people to know what you are talking about when poorly constructing posts and deride anyone who wants to engage in a dialogue with differing opinions meet. You drop names into rants that shouldn't even be there. (Sorry Topcat for this guy) I called you out on that, Joe.
You are an empty can that rattles loudly.
