My Travels soon to be
« on: May 20, 2009 - 10:01:05 PM »
I am going to be going to Hawaii, Guam, Japan and then to Alaska.  So I will be taking alot of pics for everyone here to show where I have been.  I hope I can have a lot of fun doing this and maybe make more out of it if I can do that.  This will be the first time traveling to those places and at least I do not have to pay for the trips.  I think it will be really cool to see everythinng and maybe meet up with some on here also.  Take care  Gordon
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Hey Gordon,
Where in Japan are you going to be? I might be able to make a few recommendations for dinner and sight seeing. Let me know. :picture: :2thumbs:

Kadena AB. You are going to be on Okinawa island. It is pretty small but there is a lot of history there. A lot of old temples. I can't recommend any place specific since I've never been there, but the wife says it is very different from Japan. The Japanese almost treat it like a different country and the Okinawans feel the same. They are very proud of their heritage separate from Japan. It is hot and humid so should feel like home.
The wife doesn't want to go there, but I'm still trying to get there. The beaches are supposed to be great if you like that. You'll enjoy it. Take lots of pics. :picture:

Might just take her with me if I can.  Would be so cool to have her along.  I know some of it will be work.  Anyone know of what there is to see on Guam?  Think it will be fun  and will take pics when I can and yes then post them here.

That would be my choice if you have the opportunity I say take your friend with you. Would be much more fun with someone to share the experience with.

Beware of the mosquitos around Fairbanks, they are big enough to use for target practice.

Mean & thirsty too.  :22yikes:

Have a safe trip!
