Very nice. How many miles are on the Barn Judge?

...it was bought new by a young lady in 1969, she drove 45K miles in 3 years and parked it....it was driven a couple hundred miles more in 1975 and parked again, for good...it still has the 1975 license plates on the back...she owned it almost 40 years to the day

Nice car!
How do people park a perfectly good car that is only a few years old and never drive it or do any more with it for 30+ years?
I wish I could stumble onto something like that.

...it seems a lot of Muscle Cars were parked in the early 1970s due to the oil embargo...gas shot up to .50 cents a gallon and there were long lines at every service station...some states you could only buy gas on every other day etc etc.

...I had a 1973 340 CUDA and it was very difficult to travel in Texas....the car liked gasoline, but had a small tank and it was difficult to find a station on the interstate....most people, me included, carried a 5 gal can of gas in the trunk just in case

...many people bought smaller cars and the worthless Muscle Cars were parked and many never saw the street again for decades

Nice!!! I remember back in the mid 70s (I was only 5 or 6) our next door neighbor had a 1970 Hurst 442 Olds that was just sitting at the end of his driveway and had not been driven in a while. He finally sold it and I happened to be there as the tow truck was dragging it away. I still remember seeing tears coming from my neighbors eyes as he watched it roll away. I dont remember what was wrong with it but it was all there. What amazes me looking back on it is that the car was only around 6 years old!!! These days I concider a 6 year old car still fairly new! Hell my Volvo is 20 years old and still looks and runs great. It seems back them that people drove cars a few years and a 5 year old car was "old". How things have changed!

Beautiful cars Daytona!! Kudo's on the photo shoot. What a great story. When my Challenger was being restored the shop owner had a '69 Judge in for some minor ding repairs. It was beautiful and the same color as yours. I don't know how many different colors they came in, but what an awesome looking car!! Nice Desoto too!!

I knew by the barn pic that it was going to clean up great but man, it looks like a new demo! You are definitely the guy we all want to be, you find the cars but then you have the means to get them when you find them!   :2thumbs:

...I saw this Judge while I was cruising the main drag in 1969 (I was 17 years old)...I always knew where the car was, but this was the first time I had seen her in 40 years
