Alright, more progress is brewing (sorry no pictures today, there will be plenty in a couple of weeks though). I have a couple of extended weekends coming up and I plan to take full advantage of them! The first is Memorial Day weekend. I will have 4 days to get work done on the Challenger. The second is the 4th of July, I will have 5 days to work on her then! I decided that the drivers side quarter needs too much work so I am going to replace it with a full AMD quarter panel. At the same time I will replace the trunk extension panel on that side as well because it is damaged pretty good. I placed the order for those yesterday and they should be here in time. I have put a list together of what needs to be done on the car and it's not that bad (other than finish the bodywork
). So my plan at the moment is to get the car in primer, jammed and a lot of it assembled by the end of the 4th of July weekend. Am I ambitious with my goals? Absolutely! But I think I can do it. I have been putting together my list of parts as well as the Mopar Alley Show at Ohlone College is coming up and they usually have a pretty good swap meet.
For the 4th of July week, I may take my 72 Challenger up to Redding to start getting some work done on it as well and possibly scavenge some parts for the 70 (like the exhaust system since I am ordering a new one of the 72, the 3.23 pumpkin as I am installing a 3.91 suregrip in the 72). The 72 is getting a new 2.5 inch Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system with electronic cutouts, a 4 speed and suspension upgrades later this year (probably over Lobor Day and/or Thanksgiving)
