Thanks guys I am really enjoying working on it. As for the door panels, the brand new ones that are out look amazing, I just don't have the grand to drop on them, and i have the black panels. So at least for now those will have to work until I can come up with the grand.

Yes I was able to save the fender tag. Here is the breakdown

Maybe you can find a member close enough to pick this up?

They might need some dye but it should be easier than the swap from black to white :)

I just won the auction for those white interior panels! That is going to save me a ton of money. Thanks again for the link. The seller is going to ship them, so that makes it really nice.

Thanks. As for the 57 Nomad, that's my Dad's. He has had it for almost 30 years. It has a Power Pack 283 punched out to 292 with dual quads and a munci 4-speed.

Alright, more progress is brewing (sorry no pictures today, there will be plenty in a couple of weeks though). I have a couple of extended weekends coming up and I plan to take full advantage of them! The first is Memorial Day weekend. I will have 4 days to get work done on the Challenger. The second is the 4th of July, I will have 5 days to work on her then! I decided that the drivers side quarter needs too much work so I am going to replace it with a full AMD quarter panel. At the same time I will replace the trunk extension panel on that side as well because it is damaged pretty good. I placed the order for those yesterday and they should be here in time. I have put a list together of what needs to be done on the car and it's not that bad (other than finish the bodywork  :icon16: ). So my plan at the moment is to get the car in primer, jammed and a lot of it assembled by the end of the 4th of July weekend. Am I ambitious with my goals? Absolutely! But I think I can do it. I have been putting together my list of parts as well as the Mopar Alley Show at Ohlone College is coming up and they usually have a pretty good swap meet.

For the 4th of July week, I may take my 72 Challenger up to Redding to start getting some work done on it as well and possibly scavenge some parts for the 70 (like the exhaust system since I am ordering a new one of the 72, the 3.23 pumpkin as I am installing a 3.91 suregrip in the 72). The 72 is getting a new 2.5 inch Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust system with electronic cutouts, a 4 speed and suspension upgrades later this year (probably over Lobor Day and/or Thanksgiving)

I made some good progress over the weekend. I removed the drivers quarter panel and trunk extension and installed the new ones from AMD. There was some massaging required but for the most part the installation was a piece of cake. I also got a lot more of the body work taken care of, so I should be able to finish prepping the car for primer and the jams painted over the 4th of July holiday.

Looking good!

Clearly not your first panel replacement, was the AMD panel all it was cracked up to be?
I have yet to use one.

Thanks. Yeah it is not my first rodeo. I did skin replacements on a 71 cuda (before full quarters were available) and a lower quarter on a 72 Challenger. Doing the full quarter is by far the way to go! A lot less finishing bodywork to do and much lower chance of panel warpage from the welding process. I will never install another skin again. I would definitely say that the AMD quarters are all they claim to be cracked up to be.
