Mufflers opinion What shall I do???

When I had my 3" exhaust on the car I used these Car Chemistry inserts they quiet it down about 7db's....

Thanks, I think I will add the 7" stock type mufflers to tone it down a bit. Only problem is I think the tank will need the shields installed too, just as a precaution I guess. I'll do some searching...I'm sure someone sells them.

I have a set of mildly used stockers, they were put on before I got the car but saw very few miles. $50 shipped, over axle pipes not included. Only issue I see is that the stock mufflers are a 2 1/4" in and a 2" out, pretty small to put on a 3" system. I know of a couple places to get the stock mufflers, but not in a 3" in/out.

I used the stockers from Accurate Exhaust and it sounds pretty good. They offer two options for the mufflers (round ones) with the over axle pipes welded on like factory or separate.

Thanks for the offer blunblu. Price seems reasonable, but if the stock type or something similar cant be found with 3" in n out, I may have no choice but to go with some sort of baffle like the car chemistry inserts. Unfortunately it looks like it would cause a lot of backpressure, but I guess to tone down the sound its a compromise you have to make. Seems ridiculous to install a 3" system, but find the sound is just too much, but I didnt install it... thats the way the car is coming equipped.
btw, it should be arriving on the car carrier early next week, and I cant wait. Its mine now, all bought and paid for. I just dont have it yet!!
