Project car possibility MN/WI area?
« on: May 27, 2009 - 09:19:29 PM »
So do you think it's possible to find a Barracuda project car for less than $2000?

Been looking at all the projects in the back 40, and I've come to the conclusion, I should only have 1 or 2.  And may as well make it one I really want to do.  Probably take just as long to finish, lol.

North shore of MN on Lake Superior.  I know I posted low, but had to start somewhere, lol.  I grew up riding in a '71 grand coupe, and as a car guy, I've been bouncing around between Fords, Mercs, and IH pickups.  My latest in the garage are a '48 F1 and '62 Fairlane.  But looking at the rest of the projects in the backyard, and today's economy I thought just one more would be enough.  Add up the $$$ to fix those up would probably total about the same as a Barracuda, but save on room, lol.  A bare shell would be a start, but a roller minus engine and trans would be what I hope for.  I certainly don't expect one to fall into my lap, but thought I'd post now, and bump it up once every month or two as I start selling off the other projects.

Sorry for not responding sooner....$2000 seems decent for that Charger.  However, In our efforts to refi the house, and get the extra money, it just didn't happen, dang markets these days.  :(
