Now that the engine seems to have been worked out, it's time for another problem.
The bracket to fit the wire to the tranny, it's angled so that the wire hits the oil hose.
See picture:
Really doesn't look too good, and the wire snags on the hose, so the way it is now, it's about as useless as a cat door in an elephant stable.
I haven't seen anyone mention this before on the Lokar threads, so I wonder if maybe I'm doing something wrong, or could it be something weird with my tranny, having the hose in mind?
PS: Tactransman, I know what you'll say, and I totally agree, I should've bought the Bouchillion kit...
The Lokar kit is nice and shiny, but that's it. The drawing in the instruction specific for the 727 seems to have been drawn by someone who was told over the phone how the 727 looks like.
Not to mention that the instruction at one point says to cut away one inch of the braiding.
Really, it does. If Lokar KNEW it need to be like that, WHY could they not pack it that way in the first place? It really seems like they made a generic kit into a 727 kit by making some instructions and drawings while they were high on crack.
The Bouchillion kit have adjustabillity on the bracket, and a gas wire with a plug that fits the stock hole in the firewall. Lokar want you to make a new hole in the firewall for the gas wire.
