Also, we decided that the gas cap looked out of place and I had the idea to modify a Challenger cap to fit the filler neck - it'll keep the side smooth when I am done.

A challenger cap on the driver's side will be upside down. Look into a Charger or Barracuda flip-top for the driver's side and the "fuel" will be right side up.

Not a flip top - a regular flush cap.  In that last picture, I've already modified it to fit.

Gary,

Making great progress!  Only thing I would have let the side trim on.  I like that year because of it, breaks up the looooong side of the car.  Sweet ride for sure.  What kind of rims and tires are you going with?

Thanks.  I agree about the trim but he did not want to leave it on and, afterall, the customer is always right.  Not sure what rims he is going with.  Pretty sure he's looking at 17's or possibly 18's though.

I've been pretty busy with the car.  My customer is pushing to have it done by Labor Day Weekend.  I've already just about finished the interior and painted the car last night.

Got to start buffing it soon if I want to meet his deadline... :crying:

I agree - it needs wheels BAD!  The color is actually almost blinding in the sun - my camera does not do it justice   :bigshades:
