Here is what I did when I had a garage built last year.  Due to building code and zoning I couldn't go with a high enough roof to get the ceiling height I needed to eventually install a car storage lift.  So I went with a trussed roof peaked where the car roof would be, and tracks for the garage door installed at an angle for clearance.
I should have room to stack two cars, if I ever have them and a lift!
Only bad thing is there is no overhead storage space.

I am thinking this should apply. This is my basement. There is also a workshop and another storage room off to the side.

Speaking of garages, I'm currently getting bids to add an additional 768' for 2 more cars giving me a total of 1920'. :woohoo:
Behind the Vortech/Viper banners is 64' of overhead storage also. Very handy and only took me half a day to build it.

Just a little 2 1/2 car garage. Plan on insulating and putting a new work bench, tool chest, and cabinets in next year. ( or maybe the following?)

White satin mopar, Sweet place! Is it true that no matter how big your garage is, it is always too small?
Got Job, Very nice garage! I would like mine to look like yours when I am done!
I am posting some pictures of my garage. Consider these pictures to be the “BEFORE” pictures. There is a lot of junk in the garage right now. We are in the process of cleaning it out. Most of it is stuff from the wife’s house which we sold last fall, just before my new son arrived. We haven’t had a lot of time to do much cleaning.
I am looking for ideas/products that you have used in your garages. I would like to organize the garage so it is neat and easy to work in.
My plans are to get the electrical finished this year, insulated and heat in by winter. Wish me luck!
