Nice! I like how you beefed up the floor area and tubbed it in. I haven't decided on how I am going with mine and you are helping a great deal. I am really thinking seriously about the AlterKtion chassis as it cleans up a lot of items. Does it have a high ratio steering box or similar to stock Mopar or what? Can I just hook my steering up to what they provide and not have to modify much on the column? I read one of your replys about you having to shim or something. My engine has been dyno'd 560 hp 591 fpt 500 CID stroker and I need to decide the best way to go for the street. Anyway, nice looking job, that is going to be awesome! Thanks 1BH
The AlterK. will eliminate all you header issues. As for the steering, its man. rack and would be close to the high ratio mopar box. I put a bearing in the end of the steering column housing to take the slope out of it. The system is easy to install the only thing you have to do is remove the upper and lower bump stop brackets.
In my opinion its the best peice on the market for street use right now. You can also order spool mounts that way you do not have to install a motorplate.
Let me now if I can be of anymore help.
I will post a pic of the steering column bearing.
Good luck, Dave
