I posted this on my restoration thread, but didn't get any responses so I'll try here. Won't be long and I'll be ready to apply some kind of finish to the bottom side/undercarriage of my 'Cuda. I really like the cars I've seen on CC.Com that have the undercarriage painted the same color as the body and originally was going to do likewise. However, I don't have access to a car rotisserie and don't want to pay a body/paint shop to do it. Also, I was having second thougths on having it painted. I think every time I drove over a rock, or through a puddle or got caught in the rain it would freek me out as to what it was doing to the paint. So now I'm considering using a truck bed linning on the bottom of the floorboards, trunk pan, etc and just painting the frame rails. For those who have painted your undercarraige, any regrets? Same for those who have used bed linner? Is there a better option(s)? Would paint or bed linner make a difference in judging at a car show? Any difference in the value of the car if I was every going to sell it as it is a matching numbers car that I'm going to restore to pure stock.
Like I said, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Brad
