Ebay Deals Have you noticed lately?
« on: June 02, 2009 - 10:25:28 AM »
How hard it is to find personal sellers for the good deals with vendors posting their magazine parts page after page?   I like to find OEM stuff from private sellers. They still live in our real world for the most part. I am glad we have so many coices now, so dont read me wrong, but the personal sales is where you get some good deals alot of the time

:iagree: E-bay used to be a lot of used parts by private sellers but now has turned into a lot of commercial stores selling nothing but new stuff.I have gotten away from e-bay and try and stick with the car board classifieds and Craigs list now.

Jeff said it to a T......  :iagree:

Ebay has lost the personal taste to shop, it is so hard to go and look for something without going thru 100's of vendor ads of the same stuff over and over.....My eyes go nuts looking  :ebay: :eek7:

Do they get taxed like a business?  I think if you sell a certain amount of stuff on ebay, you should be taxed as a business.

I agree with all the posts so far ,but im a power seller with a 100 % feed back rating .that said its been hard to do with oem parts with so many new parts out no one wants originals even at half the price of new , lets look at the famous hemi k member on cc forum that so many members dumped on with all the welding slag thats normal on oem parts ,but yet cost the seller so much grief with shipping and sales fees along with unqualified opinions damaging the seller . i dont share who i am for that reason alone . i have been lucky to sell old parts and retain a 100% when i could sell new parts and nail down a perfect feed back with out a sweat so why even take the risk any more  ,today i sell on craigs list local only .  :2cents:
